I am an nth-year graduate student in Physics at the University of Rochester. Before I came to Rochester, I studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at the University of California, Berkeley. I also spent some time as a student at Lunds Universitet in Sweden, and the Weizmann Institute in Israel. My CV is available.

Recent items

At UR I am working with Prof. Adrian Melissinos and fellow grad student Stefanos Giampanis on the LIGO project. Right now I am at Caltech working at the LIGO 40 meter laboratory with Rana Adhikari, Rob Ward, and others.

I live at Ant Hill Cooperative, a housing co-op I founded here in Rochester, inspired mainly by my experience living in the Oscar Wilde House in Berkeley. In addition to the co-op, two of my pet projects in Rochester are the monthly Critical Mass bicycle ride and the ROCwiki community-edited guide to Rochester. I enjoy travel. My most recent excursion was a hitchhiking-boat-train-bus adventure, overland from Orange County, CA to Mexico City, México in May 2005.
