My thoughts on the problems in workshop # 5

Simple conceptual problem to help you understand the relation between voltage, resistance and current.

Moderately difficult capacitance with dielectric problem. Perhaps is has a large scare factor but the actual thinking and execution aren't bad.

Conceptual problem with biological relevance. See? This stuff is important. Maybe someone actually had a clue when they made physics a requirement for your major!

Oh my God! Another integral. Simple in concept. Moderate to difficult execution for this course.

Conceptual exploration of power, voltage, current and resistance. Low difficulty if you understand the relation between these quantities.

Moderate difficulty problem involving several steps. This would be a fairly good exam problem.

This was an exam problem in P114 in 1999. It tests for a basic understanding of power, current and voltage (dc). This is low to low-moderate difficulty.
