Thoughts on Problem Set # 9
33-2 develop awareness of the speed of light
33-3 simple work with inverse square and intensity
33-7 Practice with quantitative wave eqn solns
33-15 simple question on momentum density
33-50 more interesting than 4 … better for an exam too …
 34-3 simple reflection/refraction optics practice
 34-7 index of refraction practice/implications
34-14 classic problem with total internal reflection … good type of thing for an exam
34-17 classic polarization type of problem … good for exam
34-26 relevant for some of you … waves is waves!
 34-28 classic refraction problem
Most of this stuff is technically easy. When they are difficult it is usually due to the geometry. I don't think I picked out any of those here. It is unlikely I would give you one with difficult geometry on an exam. I'm more interested in making sure you can understand/do the easier ones.
