My thoughts on problem set # 5

25-53, energy density calculation … must do Gauss's law to get at the field along the way, moderately difficult

and 3:. 26-5 and 26-6, practice with current. These problems are to help you develop a feel for numbers in charge flow. These are relatively simple problems if you've had chemistry. Don't expect one like this on the exam unless it is part of another problem.

26-24, Practice with potential drop across resistors and introduction to "internal resistance." This would be a simple problem if on an exam.

26-32, resistive power dissipation plug and chug, simple if on exam.

26-34, practice with power dissipation in electric circuit, simple if on exam.

26-37 (a) and (c), practical application of power and energy flow, low-moderate difficulty

26-42, example with biological/survival relevance, moderate difficulty because the problem is not in conventional setting

26-68, fun with power, moderate to high difficulty
