Problem set 2 – my thoughts on the problems

- electric flux practice – straightforward if on exam

- electric flux practice, practice at visualizing and using one of the basic geometries we will use throughout course … cylindrical geometry, moderate difficulty if on exam

- Electric flux plus Gauss’s Law, moderate difficulty, good for exam

- Electric flux plus Gauss’s Law, moderate difficulty, good for exam

- Gauss’s Law, moderate difficulty, would test a very basic knowledge of Gauss’s Law with problem that is very simple to execute once understood

- conceptually difficult problem, tests understanding of Gauss’s Law and conductors at the more subtle level, good for exam, but difficult

- spherical symmetry Gauss’s Law problem, reasonable moderate difficulty exam problem

- planar geometry Gauss’s Law problem mixed with conductor concepts and superposition, this would be difficult exam problem, though no integrals

- cylindrical geometry Gauss’s Law problem, moderate difficulty exam problem
