Okay ... This was a hard exam. Though I am a bit surprised as to how low the mean dropped. Solutions are posted. You may find much of it not as hard at you thought when you look them . At any rate, this is why I renormalize the grades. Your Final Exam grade will be renomalized by the factor of 70/51 before it is used in the grade calculations.
As always, I urge you to pick up your exam and look it over carefully. If you find any grading that seems inappropriate, please bring it to my attention. The final exams will be in the box outside of my office door when I finish turning in grades and have a chance to get the papers in the box. They will remain outside my office door for a couple of weeks into the semester starting in January. After that, I will put the exams in my office and they are available to you for the asking.
